1) The team I chose to review was the Los Angeles Rams. The way they chose to release their schedule was with a montage of videos that were supposed to be a “For You Page” feed on TikTok. This includes videos such as as Stephen A. Smith impersonation for week 8 against the Cowboys, or a recipe video for week 5 against the Philidalphia Eagles. I liked the way they did this, and believe they did it since many fans use TikTok, and this is a creative way to release the schedule, while mixing it in with current trends on the social media platform.
2) To be honest, I didn’t really have an idea of this teams identity before, apart from their recent superbowl, and knowing the personalities of top players such as Cooper Kupp. My perception of LA being very media based though, makes me think a team from LA doing this is a very good fit.
3) I really like how they were able to mix in the schedule with current trends from TikTok. As a TikTok user, it felt very similar to what TikTok feels like, and all the videos seemed very much like videos that you would see on the platform. It seemed like a regular video, with the schedule mixed in. I did feel the video was a bit long, not that 2 and a half minutes is long, but for a schedule release, it felt a bit stretched out. Maybe due to overall video length, but also some videos felt stretched out. As Alex Grant brought up, you need to keep in mind the attention spans of your audience. I hate to say it, but TikTok users typically don’t have the longest attention span due to how the app works.The filler videos between made it seem more realistic, but again, also stretched the video out, and made it seem less like a schedule release.
4) If I were a fan, this video would make me want to buy tickets. Each game felt like it had a theme based on the videos, so that would sway me to come to a certain game.
