Read (or reread) the two assigned articles from last week on nursing education. Cangelosi et al. (2009) did research with clinical experts who were participating in a Clinical Nurse Educator Academy to learn how to be undergraduate clinical instructors. The data were collected by participants completing narratives to three questions. In data analysis three themes emerged: “Buckle Your Seatbelt,” “Embracing the Novice,” and “Mentoring in the Dark.” Additionally, Benner’s Model of Skills Acquisition is clearly evident in this conversation. Considering all this, answer each of these questions. You might note that #2, 3, & 4 are the actual research questions from Cangelosi et al. (2009).
