For this assignment, you will write a paper that describes the history of your country. You should begin with the country’s ancient history and then discuss the major historical events to the present. You should include the country’s experiences with imperialism and independence. You will discuss your country’s government in Week 4 and economy in Week 5; therefore, you should not cover these topics in depth for this assignment.

In your paper,

· Describe the major historical events of your country from ancient history to the present including its experiences with imperialism and independence.

· Integrate at least 3 credible sources in addition to the course text. You may use the Middle East Policy Council’s  Country Profiles Links to an external site.  website as a source; however, you will need to assess the sources linked within the country profiles for their suitability for academic research.

The A Country’s History paper

· must be 2 to 4 double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to  APA Style Links to an external site.  as outlined in the Writing Center’s  APA Formatting for Microsoft Word Links to an external site.  resource.

· must include a separate title page with the following in title case:

· title of paper in bold font

· Space should appear between the title and the rest of the information on the title page.

· student’s name

· course name and number

· instructor’s name

· must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph.

· Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.
