Research Proposal Topic:

The correlation between child abuse/neglect and mental health. I’m currently a Child Protective Investigator, and I see firsthand how child abuse/neglect affects the mental health of children and how they struggle all through their lives. This proposal will also demonstrate how I can further advocate for children in these situations

· Create a concise, one-page Problem Statement or Program Objective that describes the population of focus and identifies the social problem or program challenge of interest and what is known about the problem or challenge.

· Synthesize current literature published in the last five years that addresses your selected population and social problem or program objective.

· References: Include a minimum of 10 peer-reviewed journal articles. Only one can be older than five years.

· Length of paper: Maximum of 3–4 pages; one-page Problem Statement/Program Objective Statement and a 2–3 page literature review.

· Communication: Communicate in a manner that is scholarly, professional, and respectful of the diversity, dignity, and integrity of others, consistent with expectations for members of the human services profession.
