An important activity parents can do for their children at this age is to encourage playtime for infants. As they grow and develop, playtime will help with communication, socialization, and understanding of the environment. Although they won’t understand much of what’s happening in the first few months their speech, eyesight, and body movements will start to develop. Talking and reading to them will encourage the baby to make sounds of their own and their speech will develop at a faster rate.
