Research integrity is crucial in the corporate sector because it is the basis for moral judgment and responsible behavior. An example of a case study demonstrating a breach of research integrity is one where Gilead Sciences corporation hid poor clinical trial findings for a Remdesivir medication with potentially adverse effects of deaths among COVID-19 patients (Rajkumar & Sampathkumar, 2020). Such a breach profoundly contradicts the principles stressed in the cited Scriptures from a Christian point of view. The value of living with integrity, including telling the truth while conducting research and conducting business, is emphasized in Psalm 15:1-2 (New international version, 2023). Honesty, purity, and godliness are stressed in Psalm 26:11 and 119:29–30. Proverbs 11:1, 16:11, 20:7, and 22:28 stress the worth of uprightness and fairness (New international version, 2023). In addition to violating scientific integrity, hiding crucial information that might influence public health also goes against values of honesty, justice, and openness (Rajkumar & Sampathkumar, 2020). Such behaviors damage society and weaken trust, highlighting how inconsistent they are with Christian principles.
